At Katha Labs, your manuscript and intellectual property remain 100% yours forever. We do not claim any copyright, publishing ownership, or proprietary rights over any manuscripts, outlines, chapters, or ideas created, drafted, or synchronized through our services.

3. Google API Services & User Data Policy Disclosure

Katha Labs integrates with Google APIs (including Google Docs API and Google Drive API) to enable authors to retain custody of their work in their personal Google accounts.

A. Information We Access:

• Google Profile & Email: To authenticate your account and identify you across our portal.
• Google Docs & Drive Files (drive.file and documents scopes): We request access specifically to create, read, and synchronize book chapters and manuscripts that you explicitly create, link, or compile within the Katha Labs author workspace.

B. How We Use Google User Data:

• To create dedicated Google Docs for each of your book chapters directly in your personal Google Drive.
• To calculate word counts, chapter progress, and narrative readability metrics.
• To compile finalized chapters into a unified Master Manuscript document in your Google Drive.

C. Restrictions on Data Use:

• We do NOT access, read, or modify any files in your Google Drive outside of the manuscripts you explicitly connect to Katha Labs.
• We do NOT sell, license, or rent your Google user data or manuscript contents to any third parties.
• We do NOT use your private manuscript text or Google Docs data to train public generalized AI or machine learning models without your explicit, affirmative written consent.
• We do NOT share your Google data with external advertising networks.

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement industry-standard encryption protocols (TLS/HTTPS in transit and AES-256 at rest) using Google Firebase and Cloud Firestore infrastructure. Access tokens are stored securely in local browser sessions and are transmitted only over encrypted channels for authorized operations.

5. User Rights and Data Deletion

You may disconnect your Google Account at any time by revoking Katha Labs' access in your Google Account Security Settings at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. You may also request complete deletion of your account and metadata from our servers by contacting us.
